Besides entering data manually through the interface, you can upload a predefined list of selections on condition that they are in the right format.
Use the Upload Codes feature to do the following.
• Upload predefined list of geographical or additional selections to be added to the count.
• Upload predefined list of geographical or additional selections to be omitted from the count.
• Assign one or several keycodes to the codes you are going to upload.
Note that selections available for uploading and omitting
are system and list specific. To see the selections available for the
specific system, click Tips in
the File Format Information section
on the Upload Codes page.

There are several format requirements for uploading selections.
• Each selection must be presented in a separate section.
• Each section must have a header enclosed in square brackets necessary for uploading codes for different selections.

• Use comma or carriage return as delimiters for uploading codes.

If the format is wrong, the system does not allow the file to be uploaded.

Keycode is a unique identifier assigned to the selection and used in reports, order output, and so on. Keycodes must be unique, up to 30 characters, and may consist only of alpha-numeric characters, spaces, and decimal points.
You can assign one or several keycodes to one or several codes for upload using the special format requirements.
The following table illustrates the format requirements necessary for adding keycodes to the codes for upload.

It is also possible to upload MLR selections. Format requirements are the same as for the rest of the selections. For more information, see Format Requirements.
If you do not add a keycode to the location, the system does it automatically. As a rule, it is the same as the code for upload.
The following table presents the formats for MLR locations depending on the centroid type.
If you upload records for MLR by Quantity and want to limit your results to a radial distance, you can specify the distance after the key code. The radial distance must be preceded by the ~ symbol.

1 Start a search and click Upload codes.
2 On the Upload Selects/Omits page, click Browse and select the file you want to upload.
3 Click Submit.
To view the uploaded codes, click View Selections.
MLR codes can also be uploaded from the Multi-Location Radius page.
